Australian captain Mitchell Marsh won the toss in the 2nd ODI. He decided to bowl first at Adelaide against India. Which was a good strategy, seeing the weaker bowling attack of the opposition.

Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill started the inning slow. Specially Rohit struggled a lot against Hazlewood with the new ball.
