New Zealand’s batting line, up was unable to find its feet from the start. Besides the run of wickets at regular intervals, the constant need to rebuild was the only thing going on while the story of the acceleration never happened. Jasprit Bumrah was at his best once again for India as he claimed 3 wickets for 17 runs, bowling with great control and intent. Ravi Bishnoi was the perfect partner to his bowling as he not only got two wickets but also locked the middle overs to create pressure. Series Context and What Lies Ahead

The eight, wicket triumph marked India’s supremacy in the shortest format. It also became one of the fastest successful chases for a target of 150 or more in T20 history. Since the series is already decided, the last two games now serve as opportunities to experiment with combinations before the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

For New Zealand, the loss in Guwahati once again brought to light the issues of lack of batting depth and inability to handle pressure, which are problems that have to be put right before the series ends.
